Hollywood Candy Store has successfully fulfilled its customers' love and demand for American food.
Their primary challenge was finding a method to help them accept payments easily and instantly.
1. The first step is to partner with a merchant service provider (MSP) to get a card machine.
2. Your next step is to complete your KYC and KYB with the MSP of your choice.
3. After that, the acquirer will receive the documents you submitted.
4. Your acquiring bank views your documents and provides you with a Merchant ID (MID).
5. Upon generating your MID, your PDQ will get delivered to your registered business address.
6. Your merchant service provider will then activate the PDQ so you can accept payments.
1. When your customer pops their card into your card terminal machine, it will ask for their PIN.
2. Alternatively, PDQs support contactless payments, so your customers can tap and pay for smaller amounts (up to £100 as per updated government norms).
3. The customer's bank account will be contacted for approval to ensure funds are available.
4. Upon approval, funds will be withdrawn from the customer's account and deposited into your merchant account.
5. You will then receive the funds in your business bank account. The number of days it will take to deposit the funds will depend on your provider (usually T+2, 2 days post a successful transaction).
